'Tis the season. Please don't get a pet for a Christmas present unless you know for sure the recipient is able and willing to love and care for the animal.
To anyone that acquired a puppy or kitten for Christmas. Please do your research on that breed and make sure that you'll be forever their home. They didn't sign up for you. You signed up for them. Commit yourself to at least 15 years or more. They are not a sweater you can return.

The USPS is supposed to be a government funded service, not a profitable business.
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
