That got dark fast
I love my dogs. I have learned so much about unconditional love from them. When my dad was drifting away from dementia, the senior dog they adopted gave purpose to his last years. I have mourned when they crossed the rainbow bridge.
But
They aren’t people. They aren’t children. They are pets.
But
They aren’t people. They aren’t children. They are pets.
I will never understand people who treat dogs better than other people, especially when those other people are their family members, & especially when they’re their own children. I’m sorry if that’s controversial or unpopular but I think it’s problematic to treat humans badly but revere dogs.
