Every time someone asks me if nails existed in the 18th cent, I lose an hour off my life.
Every time someone INSISTS that nails didnt exist in the 18c, I lose 2 years.

Why do so many people think that nail making is some insane modern marvel?

If you're traveling this holiday season and visiting museums, please remember to be kind and respectful to staff! These are often the busiest times of the year and staff are trying their best to help everyone have a educational and meaningful time. Practice patience with fellow guests as well.

I think it can be said that this is a good representation of my personal aesthetic: flowers and hand tools

Watching the "Making Of" about Frankenstein 2025 has got me feeling so much "I am inspired to make by seeing how much care and attention went into making this movie."
And I dont know where to put all that energy.

I wish I could figure out how to create a Frankenstein 2025 Elizabeth inspired wardrobe, that blends the Gothic 1850s vibes with some practicalities of 21st century daily wear.
Time to hit the sketch book, I guess?

Okay but now that we've just had a huge showing of exactly what people want... I hope Congressional Dems lock the fuck in and start pushing hard on the shutdown. I don't expect the Republicans to roll over, but there's no reason to tiptoe any more. Failing to use this momentum would be idiotic.

Election nights are too stressful. I wish we could just instantly know election results when the polls close.

I can't believe I have to wait for election results and DON'T have a delicious basket of beignets to soothe my soul. I can't go on under these conditions.

Been sick with some upper respiratory crud, have no voice, and no energy, but my brain keeps clearing my fatigue and fog juuuust long enough to make me either feel guilty for taking off work or make me daydream about someday being brave enough to cosplay. Brains are so weird.

folks can complain about the effectiveness of scheduled orderly mass protest but to think about it another way its the closest thing we have to the opening scene of A Muppet Christmas Carol where all the muppets sing "there goes Mr. Dipshit, there goes Mr. Ass" to Scrooge and it clearly bothered him
