So do I. Our wood stove is fantastic—it heats the flat plus all of our water, but I cannot sleep in 70+ degree heat, while hubs, who lacks the fat I have, doesn’t do well with cold. So I get you on that point.

Well, who’s a fancy flapjack? We make jars, too! This one’s about 10in tall. Acrylics, ink, metallic inks and powders, and many layers of lacquer. We’re particularly happy with the crazing at the bottom.

Remember the ugly-stage painting I posted a while back? It’s almost finished. I work more slowly now than I used to, but with less stress & self-criticism. Whether or not a painting is good or even finished, it’s still all practice and building muscle-memory, learning techniques and style.
