#math #physics Blimey. If it's been 150 years since 1897 then Australia needs to improve its education. But after seeing 1897 in at least 3 places, deep in the article it says 1879. Contribute to the Guardian so they can hire a proofreader. What could be more important than a story about cricket? 🏏

#math #physics That's about 8 inches of snow, which is enough to cover poor Jasper. He probably wishes he was here in South Florida, where everyone is complaining because overnight the temperature plunged to 48 F (9 C). 🥶
We had 20 cm of snow overnight! A good part of it is now on Jasper. 🐕

Richard Grenell was named director of the Kennedy Center. He has no musical background at all but he has now conducted the Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. Goodness these people. His husband is a dancer so he thinks he's an authority on dance. I hope no one goes to Kennedy Center now.

It rained ALL day. Yuck. I only got a short, wet walk this morning and a slightly longer damp walk this afternoon. Rainy days stink.

I’m doing research for a project and found out about the “don’t buy where you can’t work” movement during the depression, where Black people boycotted and picketed places that wouldn’t hire us. Shout out to everyone who’s not going back to Target!

The 60 Minutes interview, in which Nora O’Donnell let Trump blather on with lie after lie without fact-checking him or pushing back, is a reminder of why we need journalists who will hold him accountable rather than just giving him a platform to spread lies.
