Anyone else get a couple of seemingly random texts from numbers you don't know trying to start conversations?
I got one from a West coast area code and another a day or two later from an East coast area code. Stuff like "Hello" and "We need to have a good talk before Christmas"

I don't know who needs to hear this but your messages (text, email, letters) to someone aren't going to be private after that person dies. Their family will have the right to go through every correspondence they can find.

My new neighbor shoveled his whole driveway, then cleared the snow off his car, brushing it all onto the freshly cleared driveway like it was his first time seeing snow

I may be the only bass player at the open jam this weekend and that's got me sweating bullets. I promised my nephews I'd play bass with them (fine for 5-8 minutes) but I'm afraid other people will ask me to play with them too. I'm not as confident on the bass as I am on the guitar

I had an idea that from now on when I talk to someone I suspect might be Republican. I'll tell them I'm a single issue voter and that issue is healthcare. Whoever comes up with the best plan to get everyone preventative healthcare wins. That's it.

I finally broke down and bought the fancy looking electric kettle and ceramic pour-over coffee dripper I've been looking at so I can stop being the guy who puts fresh ground coffee into reusable Keurig cups for meh, OK coffee and I can start being the guy who really enjoys his morning cup

I've been listening through The Black Keys' albums, got to the last one and wow. There were a couple of good songs but I wanted to skip through most of them. It was sad to hear because all their earlier albums were comprised of almost 100% bangers. They just kinda lost their grit
