Portland Folks: if you're in town Saturday and want something to go to aside from the No Kings protest, or after, the Portland Defense Fund is holding a street fair on Clinton St in SE.

Finished The Castle of Otranto and it continued to not be very good (sexism and too many different types of drama squished into too short of a story), but I read a bit about Horace Walpole and it sounds like he had peak Weird Little Guy energy.

My new job allows me to be on the internet a little when it is quiet so I am now committed to reading classic Gothic literature this fall. Halfway through Walpole's The Castle of Otranto and it is...not good. But it is short.

I took myself to the rose garden and picked up my free dozen Pip's so overall, a solid 31st birthday. Happy Towel Day to all who celebrate!
