If Shapiro and Newsom are so concerned about Trump supporters they should run as Republicans.
Josh Shapiro believes he is uniquely suited to win over Trump voters—but he’ll need to overcome distrust among some in his own party first, Tim Alberta reports: theatln.tc/mR9AHSG4

it is hard to think of another political figure in my lifetime I have turned on harder than Hillary Clinton. I am exactly the right flavor of Middle Aged White Lady to have been DEEPLY emotionally invested in her way back when, but every time she opens her mouth now I’m like “holy shit lady 🤯”
Hillary Clinton blames TikTok and “totally made up” videos for young people’s views on Israel and Palestine.

She says social media influenced “not just the usual suspects” but also “young Jewish Americans who don’t know the history and don’t understand.”

Ok but “Students, faculty, staff and alumni need to create a subversive alternative university lurking within the shadows of the university itself.”

Or strike? Shut the whole thing down. Do it now before exams.

Sci-fi authors were right about AI destroying humanity. They were wrong about the means though. It's not taking over the world, it's driving everybody insane.

So it turns out it’s the massively overpaid execs who could be replaced by AI… who’d have guessed
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Really exciting that AOC is considering a run for president. Don't listen to the people who stuck us with Joe Biden. She can win — and she can do it for two terms.

AOC built her own political machine. Now she’s deciding her next move.
Seven years after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leapt onto the national stage as an outsider, she’s learned an inside game and is considering a run for Senate or president.

Record profits are unpaid wages.
Amazon announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

Trump is so proud of his performance, I bet he could be goaded into taking the test on live TV. That would absolutely silence all his critics.
He’s doing “I aced it” on the “very advanced mental acuity” test again.

Much like 2024, Democrats seem to think there’s a binary choice in the 2026 election between voting for Republicans (evil) and voting for Democrats (feckless).

They rarely acknowledge the third option which inevitably harms them the most: staying home.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

The lesson that Schumer learned from the March debacle:
- do a better job timing the cave to Trump so it happens on Sunday night, not during the day when offices can be lobbied
- do a better job picking senators who are retiring or not up in '26 to vote aye
- make sure you don't have to vote aye

Do you support a change in Senate leadership after this surrender?

Not picking on Booker - we should ask this of literally all the no votes.
As I've always said, I will not support a government funding bill that continues to raise our costs, jeopardizes our health care, and hurts the people of my state.
