NVIDIA and OpenAI are the ultimate form of the growth-at-all-costs Rot Economy. None of this is about GPUs, or AI, or innovation - it's about growing two companies as much as possible with little regard for reality or good sense. It's a disgrace.

I cannot express how wild this quote is. This is a top tech analyst at a well-regarded firm saying that there is not enough capital to actually pay for all the stuff that NVIDIA and OpenAI has promised. It is so important that everybody realizes that *there is not enough money to do this*

Hard to express how bizarre and frustrating it is to hear these non-academics press their hallucinatory visions of what campuses are like. Truly no relationship to the reality.
Im begging the NYT to spend time talking to people who actually teach and work at universities. Especially ones that don't have billion dollar endowments.
