Lest we forget one month ago Angela Rayner resigned over underpaying stamp duty on her £800,000 flat in Hove

Within a week Farage exposed not to own a £885,000 house in #Clacton he claimed he’d bought & accused of avoiding £44,000 in tax by funding his girlfriend to buy it

It got buried quick eh❗️😡

"Polanski slammed” reports the Daily Express. The person doing that “slamming” is, err, Daily Express journalist Carole Malone.

And the reason? Because I want us to follow a science led public health approach to regulate drug use.

Today on mainstream Media you saw the faces and heard the names and stories of Israelis held hostage.

But you didn't see or hear the Palestinians held hostage by Israel, except maybe to mention them as terrorists.

Do you see how biased the Media is?
That looks like Elsecar...
I live on my own. I could probably match that!

Marvellous Minoan clay vessels made by creative potters on the island of Crete during the Aegean Bronze Age around 3,500 years ago! 🤩

Top left - clay flask decorated in Minoan ‘Marine Style’’ with an octopus with tentacles writhing around the body of the vase. Additional motifs such as seaweed and rocks represent the seabed. From Palaikastro, 1500-1450 BC

Top right - clay rhyton in the shape of a bull’s head. A rhyton is a type of pouring vessel used for filling cups or making liquid offerings. There is a pouring hole at the bull’s mouth. From Knossos Little Palace, 1450-1375 BC

Poot!
Gong bath postponed due to lack of take-up.
However, that does mean I can get my sourdough baked tonight and not rush the moussaka that I've made for tonight.
And several days afterwards! 😂
I understand them as orb spiders due to the shape of their website (not their backsides!)
But I often refer to them as "rugby spiders" if they've got stripey legs, like she has...
Rock cakes were my mum's thing.
The middle pages are loose, and the Christmas cake page is well splattered!
And yes, it's sepia.
The front of a very well used Be-Ro baking book, printed in shades of sea and dark brown, showing a young girl in a pinafore or gym slip, with baking equipment in front of her, and pointing to an open copy of the same book, which she holds in her left hand An open page from the book (various cakes, including the Christmas cake on the left, and icing instructions on the right.
This part of the book looks very well used, as it has evidence of cake batter splatters!
I am now the proud owner of a Be-Ro baking book (9th edition - 1931). Childhood memories, although I think my mum's was from the 1940s.
I may once again attempt scones: maybe their recipe will work...
(My scones are improving, but not where I need them to be).

And a gong bath this evening! Ahhh!
I need to adopt this attitude!

Twelve Jobs Nigel has earned over £1 million in additional income since the general election.

To understand the scale of it, since the July 2024 election he's earned roughly £100k more as a brand ambassador for Direct Bullion than Starmer gets as PM.

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.

Any ideas what may have happened in the interim?
Well, if they can't even get the spelling of the country's name correct on their own literature, it seems they need English language graduates.
Also, school English teachers have to come from somewhere...

A few proof readers wouldn't go amiss, either.
I fear you may be right. These storms just keep a-rollin' in!

I'm awaiting the onset of roof and gable end repairs, some of which is down to 200 years of mortar erosion, and (hopefully) to a lesser degree, storm Arwen, when a slate went walkabout.
Thankfully, it didn't all happen over the stormy period.
How did you fare?
Now there's a thought...

If you make Private Education illegal, State Schools will have to function, because the rich kids will have to go.
