Maybe Don’t Talk to the New York Times About Zohran Mamdani
It’s remarkable, the people you’ll hear from. Teach for even a little while at an expensive institution—the term they tend to prefer is “elite”—and odds are that eventually someone who was a studen…

TL;DR To succeed, Mayor Mamdani should abandon all his goals and govern more like Cuomo or Bloomberg. 🍑🤡🤡🤡

You’re never gonna see no exododus! 😞
You laugh, but this is how the exododus went extinct

Two dopey ideas I hope to hear less of:

1. Zohran Mamdani’s goals for NYC are impossible.
2. He’ll fail completely if he doesn’t manage to implement 100% absolutely everything on his list.

MAGA set big goals and are achieving many of them. How about we non-fascists try that? (Omitting the evil.)

What if the Dems were to seize back control of executive and legislative branches in 2028? (SCOTUS will be MAGA for a generation.)

I fear the extent of their pushback would be moves like improving the plumbing in the concentration camps and bodycams for ICE.

If you put a Zionist frame on the Trump administrations acts against immigrants and POC in general, you arrive at the question, “Does the U.S. have the right to exist as a white Christian state?”

And your response to that IMO should inform your response to Israel.

Remember when @lizzobeeating.bsky.social played James Madison’s Crystal flute and Republicans lost their minds? What happened to all that historical agita? 🤔

So far, all the photos I’m finding from places like Atlanta and Baltimore are super-Caucasian … Is it a question of coverage or a real thing?

Comedian Tim Dillon said on his podcast last month that he signed up for financial reasons. … He told his detractors to ‘get over it, ‘ adding, ‘So what if they have slaves, they're paying me enough to look the other way.’ “

Holy smokes! “Exurban reactionary swinger” totally nails it! 🍍
The whole exurban reactionary swinger takeover of the GOP is wild
I suspect we are, probably for our own mental health, underestimating the degree to which the Trump administration is dominated by the worst swingers imaginable

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

Turns out I’m not the only one who made this connection.
It’s also interesting that Klein mentions the reichstag fire because what’s going on feels a lot more like the canonizing response to the murder of Horst Wessel, a response that Klein is now participating in with this reprehensible piece.
