this is about the TN election today lol I wish I had written it
I bet Trump is really sweating these numbers. Or he’s pooping himself while mumbling racist stuff in his sleep.

No more pretense or excuses. Trump and his team have made the white supremacist foundations of this project explicit and clear.

If you enable this you need to face who and what you are. But you can always choose another way.

Choose humanity. Decency. Equality. Democracy.
To make common cause with this Administration is to support an affirmatively white supremacist vision of this country. Period.

Every corporation.
Every Republican.
Every influencer.
Every Governor.
Every evangelical leader.
Every voter. Yes. Every voter.
Mark Kelly: "This president, when he says things like 'third world countries,' what is he really saying? I think what he's saying is he doesn't want brown people in our country. And that's disturbing. It's un-American."

Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change.

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left."

It’s between democracy and oligarchy.

The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.

NEW RESULT: Democrats have flipped a state Senate in Iowa.

This was a seat Trump carried by 11%, but Democratic nominee Catherine Drey has just won it by 10.4%.

This is the second legislative flip by Dems in Iowa this year. It also means the GOP loses its supermajority in Iowa’s senate.

I’m seeing many reposts of Donald Trump’s demented distraction from the Jeffrey Epstein mess about Rosie O’Donnell. What I’m not seeing is her sassy response. Here it is:

we are so utterly lost. Gahhhhhhh(d)
Welcome to the USA of 2025, where condemning genocide is deemed antisemitism and can get you deported, but building concentration camps and calling bankers ‘Shylocks’ doesn’t get condemned by the news media at all.

Hard to take seriously the red-white-and-blue rhetoric of freedom on a 4th of July where the US president has cut off aid to a democracy fighting for its independence against ferocious attack by a foreign tyrant.

It ought to be a huge story when a President refuses to affirm his oath to uphold the Constitution. Trump's "I don't know" interview warranted substantial #FrontPage coverage

NYT/WaPo/WSJ gave it minimal A1 coverage

Local outlets did much better!

New York Times, Washington Post & Wall Street Journal editors did not make Trump’s “I don’t know” interview a front page story. Several local editors did give it prominence and did a better job.
