My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

We need a movie that clarifies whether the pink panther is ontologically distinct from the diamond (name is coincidental) or a kind of vision or phantom projected from within its depths

racists roll their eyes at this, they're not happy with any message short of 'send them all back' & they don't trust labour trying to pander to them. people who aren't racist recognise this as divisive patronising nonsense. labour's approval rating is 12% and i'm surprised it is that high
This is so disgusting.

For comparison, every robotic mission NASA has ever sent in its history, from the dawn of the Space Age 65 years ago to today, from Mercury to Pluto and beyond, has cost less than $40B.

I know which one has done more for humankind and which one should be dismantled.
Mark Zuckerberg’s gamble on the ‘Metaverse’ has cost Meta more than $77B

The company now plans to cut spending on it and shift focus to AI wearables instead

These 600 pages are a fast, engaging read.

I highly recommend this comic.
If you’re like “600 pages? That’s too many” hey I get it. But it’s a super easy read and it’s broken up into 4 digestible chapters, all illustrated in different styles so your eyeballs don’t get bored

I've said it often, but libraries are, without hyperbole, one of the greatest things humans have ever done. Like ever.
Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you:

Our funding depends on usage.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.
