1/ Mark Carney has betrayed all of us by making a pipeline pact with Danielle Smith. A real nation-building project would expand the renewable energy of the future while creating thousands of jobs - powerlines not pipelines.

The cost of living is not just an “issue.” It’s an emergency.

We need an NDP that is brave enough to tackle this emergency with bold solutions, and that’s exactly what I’ll do as leader.

We live in a society awash in wealth. Big banks and big oil pull in tens of billions while public needs go unmet.

We need leaders willing to where the money is. A 1% tax on the wealthiest 1% could raise billions for strong, universal public services.

Carney’s deal with Danielle Smith is the sellout of the century: scrapping climate legislation for a pipeline that will never be built.

We need powerlines, not pipelines. Our path is through climate leadership & building good jobs in the clean economy.

Prime Minister Mark Carney disagrees with the concept of a premier of one province unilaterally taking over a different province but his hands are tied by his unwillingness to do anything about it.

People who think Carney is a political genius are not people I would be listening to. He just blew up his voting coalition and most certainly will be a single term Prime Minister by isolating British Columbia and Québec, it’s just math.
Something that is easy to forget in all the "Carney is a political genius / Carney is a political naif" argle bargle is that climate policies matter. Environmental regulations matter. Getting rid of them may or may not achieve a political end — but it's guaranteed to have real-world implications.

Scientists Just Found Another Way Antarctica Is Falling Apart
When ice freezes and melts, it creates vortices that drag warmer waters from the depths to the surface, where they eat away at the continent's rapidly degrading ice shelves.
