Increasingly leaning to the left in my world view. Some of my clothes are older than my work colleagues. Live music, proper beer and good food, enjoyed with family and friends - old and new, makes me happy.

Relative to USA cutting federal spending, tariffs and trade negotiations: This lines out what has happened and most likely what will happen. Buckle up because it has a huge chance of falling and even if it doesn’t the world will never be the same again.

Happy Tariff day. Traditionally celebrated by making things more expensive for consumers and pocketing the difference to give the rich a tax break.

Tories have run out of ideas, trotting out the same party election broadcast they were criticised by the DM for, in springtime - when winter fuel payments are not going to be paid anyway. I suppose it’s better than having Kemi talk down to us.

Tories left red-faced over video attacking Labour's winter fuel cuts
The three-and-a-half minute long video shows a series of retirees condemning PM Sir Keir Starmer 's 'horrifying' and 'appalling' decision to slash the energy support.

Rubio and Hegseth have installed this twenty-something DOGE affiliate, Nate Cavanaugh, as acting president of the U.S. Institute of Peace, per filing.

Before DOGE took control of USIP, the duly appointed president was George Moose, a career diplomat who first joined the foreign service in 1967.

The move away from the office to home working and fully remote work is a double edged sword. Home life blurs into work life. Colleagues are voices on teams calls. The commute is fantastic and you can get your shopping delivered, boiler fixed and washing done during the day. You don’t have a worklife

There are many things making this disturbing.

1. The capacity and officials prepared to act in this way pre-dates Trump.

2. The officials are out of uniform and are masked/hooded to hide their identities.

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

If the American journalist she calls to ask a question instead, who responds by saying yeah I’d like you to answer the Brit’s question, is ever in a London pub we’re definitely buying him a drink yes
Here's Marjorie Taylor Greene literally telling a British reporter to "go back to your country" and berating her for trying to ask a question.

"We don't give a CRAP about your opinion."

In a world that has recently changed so much, the message that the Special Winter Olympics gives is powerful. Sport can change the world, inclusivity and diversity are things to celebrate.

Give this a watch while you can.

America sliding even further down the list of 'places to see'.

This gives us a real insight into how grim it is in the USA.

Now, if you are white and of European ancestry, imagine how much worse the process is if you are not of white European ancestry...
