TEMPERAMENTAL is an on-going slice of life/psychological horror with a central focus on mental health, the cycle of abuse and convoluted queerness. it is just under 200 pages and updates next month! check it out!

a page from my comic TEMPERAMENTAL. at the forefront is my character onyx, who is naked and covering both her chest and genitals. she looks distressed and ashamed. her hair is long and flowing behind her her, bangs falling just over her eyebrows. her eyes are red and she is crying tears, which are red as well. behind her there is a 3x3 of panels. the three center panels both horizontally and vertically are black with white text reading, "i'd sooner kill you." over and over. each corner panel has close-ups to horses. the top left has a tired and sad stylized horse looking down. the top right panel has horse hooves kicking up at the air. the bottom left panel as a horses back legs kicking out. the bottom right panel has a close up to a horse's mouth as it chews on the bit in its mouth. the negative space in all these panels is bright red and filled with a rippling lined pattern radiating from the focus of each one. neither onyx nor the horses are colored in in this page. another page from my comic TEMPERAMENTAL. two panels side-by-side take up a third of the page. the first has a shot of my character tabitha as she glares over her shoulder, baring her teeth in anger, at a figure behind her opening a door. the figure and door are filled in with a high contrast red as tabitha is a grayscale color, showing her dark skin and black curly hair. between the two, hand-written words fill the space reading, "intruder. who the fuck are you, fucker? i'll kill you. fuck off. go away. go away. bitch. fucker. die. die." in the second panel, the red figure raises his hands in a show of surrender, gesturing in a plea for calm and peace. this figure takes on the appearance of my character roger, who has short hair, a stubbly jaw and is wearing a button-up shirt tucked into his pants. the negative space behind him is filled with more rambling, reading, "what do you want, you fuck? why won't you go away? i'll kill you. i'll kill you. stay away. stay away. stay away. i won't let you hurt my baby." "my baby" is then repeated over and over. in the bottom panel, taking up two-thirds of the page is a full body shot of tabitha. she is notably very pregnant. her long curls fall over her shoulders and chest and cover part of her face. her eyes are blank and distant. she is not colored in for this panel. she is wearing a long dress, the bottom of it splattered with blood, and she is holding a hunting knife. her hands are also covered with blood and her forearms are filled with cuts. in the black behind her are the words, in all caps, "i will kill you." another page from my comic TEMPERAMENTAL. it is in grayscale. it is made up of six panels all lined up horizontally down the page. the first features my character dominic, laying on his side in bed. his eyes are lidded with exhaustion as he dejectedly stares off into space. he is very pale and has short straight black hair that is line up at about eyebrows length. he has old cigarette burn scars on the right side of his chest. the next panel has a close-up on his phone as his thumb scrolls through the time bar on a voicemail. the words from said voicemail appear in bubbles around the panel. "hey, pretty boy. i'm worried about you. call me please. i love you." the next panel is a close-up on dominic's face. his dark eyes turn upwards, brows knitted on his forehead in distress. again, part of the voicemail sounds out but is cut off as he searches for the correct time, "-me please- i love you." in the next panel, he sets the phone down beside him as what he'd been searching for finally plays on repeat. "i love you." he slips his hand down into the front of his boxers. "i love you. i love you." in the final panel, his head tips back and his eyes just barely close. "i love you. i love you." another page from my comic TEMPERAMENTAL. it is in grayscale. the top panel is a wide-shot of my characters aiden and covin standing in their living room. aiden, who is dark skinned with dark short curly hair, light eyes and sports a face full of piercings, hangs his mouth ajar as his word bubble forms a long line behind him, "UUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH". beside him, covin, who is pale with long black hair that partially hangs before their face and light eyes, looks at him with a look of distress. in the next set of panels, there are three side-to-side. in the first, aiden and covin look at one another as in the second panel, onyx (who is a dark skinned woman with straight black hair braided out of her face and dark eyes) asks, "what the fuck is going on? i'm going to count to three." in the third panel, lettie and oki (aiden's young children) also look at one another as onyx begins to count down. in the next two panels, lined up vertically in what remains of the page, aiden stands at the center of a chaotic battleground of word bubbles as covin, lettie and oki all point at him accusingly with tears in their eyes. "daddy crashed the car!" "we almost died" "sorry!" "it was so scary!" "it got super messed up!" "i told him not to drive!" "daddy is so sorry!" "so so sorry!" "so sorry!" "at least he didn't kill nobody!" "sorry!" "don't get mad at him!" "he was checking his phone!" "we were looking for you!" "so sorry!" "he wasn't paying attention." aiden looks defeated and annoying as he grumbles a, "cool. thanks guys." in the next and final panel of the page, stands onyx as she glares at them all in irritation. more shouted word bubbles appear around her as the others continue. "the car was spinning and then it was like BOOM!" "it was kinda cool!" "it was an accident!" "the car EXPLODED!" "the car was all smashed!!" "it was like in a movie!" "so so sorry!" "but daddy said he was gonna fix it!"
