Another year, another Turkey Trot. A small tradition I always look forward to on Thanksgiving morning. Big thanks to Harvest of Hope Pantry, which runs the food and fundraising drive connected to the race, and to T.E.A.M. Boulder, the organization that puts the event on every year.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my family and friends, for my staff and colleagues who work every day to serve our communities, for the supporters who stand with us in this campaign for Attorney General.

🚨The federal suspension of SNAP payments created a nationwide food security crisis. That’s why I joined an amicus brief urging the courts to restore full benefits communities who rely on this support. When the federal government threatens to harm Coloradans, I will always fight for our state.

This picture is from a special event in support of my campaign for Attorney General. For years, we have worked together to reduce gun violence in our communities. With the help of this amazing group, I am excited for the campaign and to become the next Attorney General.

We cannot let our justice system fall victim to public corruption and cronyism. Tina Peters should serve her sentence and face the consequences for her deliberate actions.

Throwback Thursday to when I was a student at Cornell University. I did not know it then, but those years would lead me toward a career focused on public safety, fairness, and service to our communities.

Honored to have the support of Council Member Mark Wallach. I’ve valued the work we’ve done together to protect public safety in Boulder, and his endorsement underscores the importance of standing with victims, confronting hate-motivated violence, and following the law wherever it leads.

Thank you to Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary and everyone at STAND for hosting this important community convening on rising antisemitism, hate symbols, and their impact. I appreciate being a part of this conversation. Hate crimes harm not only individual victims but their entire community.

In recognition of National Restorative Justice Week, I want Coloradans to know I will continue that work statewide. Restorative justice plays a meaningful role in healing harm, supporting victims, and improving outcomes for our communities.

I am honored to serve as tonight’s keynote speaker at the STAND event, where I will address the rise in antisemitism and other acts of hate. As Colorado’s next Attorney General, I will continue to confront hate in all its forms and make sure every community is protected.

Grateful for the chance to sit down together and talk about the stakes in our justice system. ICE now receives more federal funding than any other federal law enforcement agency, and much of it goes to private, for-profit prisons. Private prisons should be outlawed entirely

For nearly three decades, my work has been in the courtroom and in public service, leading reforms, protecting victims, and strengthening the integrity of our justice system. These programs did not come from theory. They came from my experience.

Today, on Veterans Day, we thank and honor all those who have served this great country. My Uncle and Godfather, Vincent J. Dougherty, was an Army veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War era.

We lost him last year; may he Rest In Peace.

For Veterans’s Day, I am up in Longmont passing out free gun safes to veterans. Thanking them for their service and helping to reduce the number of stolen guns in our community.
