I wasted several DVDs before I manage to create a Bootable disk of Windows 7.
You have to convert .iso to master CD/DVD.
Also, attempts to make bootable flash drive are waste of time.

We just rescued an old 1990s Power Mac G3 from the e-waste pile & hooked it up because it’s the only thing in the newsroom that can read CD ROMs containing photos from that era.

The biggest problem of renewables for me is, that they are actually dependent on fossil (in Europe especially on Russian gas).
Batteries improve over time, but they are not chips to double capacity every 2 years.
