Which side are you on, Brits ?

If Keir Starmer doesn't have the balls to stand up for our great BBC against a foreign aggressor, he is truly unfit to be prime minister.

...unbiased, their hypocrisy is too much to stomach. Any Brit supporting Trump and his international fascist movement against the BBC might want to reconsider whether one's political preferences should really take precedence over loyalty to one's country.

The BBC is far from perfect. But it is obvious that it is now under sustained assault by the far right, for far-right reasons. Every single person accusing the BBC of 'bias' is themselves extremely biased, and while they may have no comparable obligation to be... www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

And as with the Serbian conquest of Vukovar, if Russia does conquer Pokrovsk, it still will not have won the war. Nowhere near.

As with the siege of Vukovar in 1991, the West's shame is that we stood by and watched Russia conquer Pokrovsk, when we could so easily have stopped it. www.economist.com/europe/2025/...

'The R.S.F. began to lay siege to El Fasher in April 2024, a brutal assault that set off a famine in the city, cleared out a camp filled with about 500,000 displaced civilians and launched numerous drone and artillery strikes on hospitals and homes.' www.nytimes.com/2025/10/28/w...

I watched Star Trek a bit in the old days, but if it weren't for Facebook I'd never have known that the crew of starship Enterprise spend literally all their time telling dad jokes.

That book shows it wasn't as simple as 'Germany defeated Russia militarily, so its resistance collapsed'. The Germans won some battles and Russian territory, but less than the French in 1812. Germany won in 1917-18 because Russia's war effort created social tensions that brought about its collapse.

History will remember Zelensky as a brave and effective war leader on a par with Churchill and the Ukrainians as a heroic nation for how they fought this war. It will not remember the West and its leaders so kindly.

The tough talk from Starmer and Rutte is all well and good, but it can't hide the fact that the Western alliance is allowing the Ukrainians to fight and die alone in defence of the free world, because its leaders lack the stomach to fight the Russians themselves.

'Islamophobia is not racism because Islam is not a race' is the usual deflection. Yet here is Britain's top Islamophobe complaining again that 'Birmingham is one of a number of British cities in which people who identify on the census as "white British" are in a minority.' archive.ph/e6UFh#select...

A similar deflection is 'I can't be anti-Semitic because Palestinians are Semites too'.

He's saying that Brits who have skin colours like Kemi Badenoch or Rishi Sunak are part of the problem. The border between Islamophobia and racism has always been blurred or non-existent, and Islamophobia acts as a gateway drug to a more general racist ideology.
