Been in 3 liquidated businesses and redundancy rounds every few years since 2009. The constant, subsequent worry of not doing or being enough is often unseen and damaging. Take care of yourself and your colleagues. Even when jobs cease to exist, we persist.
Being laid off feels especially hard when I remember how many times I put my job first before my own health, well-being, and family. When I worked weeknights until 11pm and on weekends to hit production quotas, during PTO, and filed three stories the day before it happened. There's a lot of grief.

Huge Wii fan here and I really enjoyed Mario Galaxy 2 on release. Great to see the re-release finally coming.

I used to love gaming. Cute characters. Challenging gameplay. Genres galore. Browsing stores for things that appealed to me... Seeing tech used in fun ways. Then it became just another war - for your money. Coupled with rancid online algorithms, the gaming sphere can be a toxic hell hole at times.

Retro gaming predicament... consoles, games, boxes, controllers and wires take up so much space. Then there is the hefty CRT TV and stuff ageing and breaking. Really tempting to just sell up, get a Steam Deck and set it up in one place. 🤔

It's a shame fun and playability are harder to quantify versus technical performance. Imagine a website ('Fun Foundry' if you will) where we measure (and champion) these aspects using counters and lines on a graph. 🥰
