This isn’t compromise. It’s AI amensty. If Republicans were truly serious about holding Google, Meta, OpenAI, and other tech giants accountable, they wouldn’t be trying to grant yet another giveaway to Big Tech.

Big Tech is building AI data centers at an alarming pace, and we all pay the price in higher energy costs, environmental damage, and more. Americans overwhelmingly agree we should not fast-track data centers because they know it will hit our pocketbooks with higher energy costs.

So many journalists, researchers and fact-check organizations spent years lending time and legitimacy to Facebook. And this is how it ends.
It’s remarkable that Zuck said “the fact-checkers have just been too politically biased, and have destroyed more trust than they've created, especially in the U.S." He not only ended the partnership, he threw US fact checkers under the bus.
