i’m not in the business of deciding who is and who is not a “real” christian. that’s above my paygrade. but “devout” implies a level of devotional rigor that pete hegseth has not even kind of demonstrated. christianity is a very broad religious tradition, but the book does have a few rules.

I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

Worth reminding everyone that the current highest ranking Democrat in America openly admits he bases his decisions on what he thinks an imaginary person would want and today he and most of his allies are struggling to understand how somebody like Mamdani won by talking to voters who actually exist

Monday was rough. Tuesday was a long day. Then Wednesday while walking into work I had a fleeting thought that I genuinely already have everything I’ve ever wanted in my life.
The rest of the week has had ups and downs, but damn if that thought hasn’t changed my overall outlook.
It’s time to be.

After listening to it, I get why Bruce didn’t release the electric Nebraska at the time…BUT I think it’s great, and think it would’ve still been received well (just probably not seen as iconic as the stark acoustic version originally put out there).

Do you think it’s fair to say most American churches (at least Anglo, Protestant churches) are closer to closing than sustainably growing (or being financially sustainable at all)?
