"letting this fight go" means millions will lose our health care. If Dems can't fight for healthcare they do not reliably stand for anything. In purely political terms, fighting for Obama's signature achievement (ACA) would be "a good strategy" to retain dem voters. Stop capitulating to monsters.

He said, from his knees.
"It may not be much comfort for those bitter about what they see as a needless surrender. But there’s at least a chance that we’ll look back at this moment as a key turning point, one that produced a Democratic Party less willing to live on its knees." — @paulwaldman.bsky.social
Cue the rebellion
The Democratic base is enraged at their party's capitulation — and that's a good thing.

Yes, they caved because many Democrats lack a coherent or compelling vision for their party. But the shortest answer for why Democrats caved is that Chuck Schumer is the party’s leader in the Senate. The fish rots from the head. trib.al/AaaXLnQ

Chuck Schumer Needs to Go
The Democratic Senate leader has lost the thread. Everyone is suffering because of his lack of judgment.

Immigrants are supposed to be sponging off the system. Now we're supposed to believe they're out buying houses? How does that even work?

Looking very much to the near future when we nail JD Vance to the literal whipping post for over the top blatant lies & obfuscation of the facts. He’s an absolute disgrace & should be nowhere near any seat of power. Including his own house. What an abhorrent speck of human flesh.

Not true. It's because they let investors flood the housing market with homes ppl couldn't afford! Come to Florida and look at all the homes for rent, the over priced apartments, over half standing empty!

Same in Vancouver. Again, it's the wealthy class that's the problem, not immigrants.
