If you are stopped by Trump's ICE goons, or any other kind of cops:

I INVOKE MY RIGHTS TO SILENCE AND COUNSEL AND WILL NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS WITHOUT MY ATTORNEY PRESENT.

Memorize it.

And don't let ICE in without a JUDICIAL warrant. No, administrative warrants don't count.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Two Transgender Girls, Six Federal Agencies. How Trump Is Trying to Pressure Maine Into Obedience.
Maine said it wouldn’t break state law to follow President Donald Trump’s order barring transgender girls from playing girls’ sports. Then came a barrage of investigations and threats targeting the state’s federal funding.

Some context about which American political party is "better" on the economy.
If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.

If you're 45, that number is 74.7%.

If you're under 30, the number is 100%.

Well, I didn't expect Maine to be the first state Trump threatened like this. The moment is here, and Maine stands strong. Again.

Proud of my adopted home state. Proud of its history, its values, and its integrity. I think Joshua Chamberlain and Margaret Chase Smith would be proud, too. Dirigo!

"The best and the worst thing about vaccination is that it 'makes nothing happen.'

A child successfully inoculated against measles doesn’t fall sick with that condition, doesn’t miss school, doesn’t go to the hospital. They don’t suffer life-changing complications. They don’t die prematurely."
A leading pediatrician was already worried about the future of vaccines. Then RFK Jr. came along
In a new book, pediatric infectious disease specialist Dr. Adam Ratner details the history of measles, a virus that’s often a bellwether for public health disasters.

Big picture: Susan Collins has been in the Senate 28 years. She's cast the tie-breaking vote FOR Republicans dozens of times (some examples below) but to my knowledge never been the tie-breaking vote AGAINST a GOP nominee.

I'm no statistician but that seems like a meaningful pattern. #MEpolitics

Weird how not a single one of the newspapers and magazines that have been breathlessly churning out "cancel culture" thinkpieces for the past four years have managed to use the word "censorship" at all to describe the most rapid and comprehensive campaign of mass-censorship in recent US history.
