i’d rather be riding my bike. she/her
i love living within a 10 min walk of a grocery store but i wish it weren’t so mismanaged; already thought it was bad when they bought a bunch of full-size carts even tho the mini two-tier ones are more popular, and on this, the sunday before thanksgiving, they didn’t have a single staffed register

started reading a new novel and was already meh on it, then got to a bit about one character having been in marching band with trousers that were too big and her *tuba* digging into her shoulders and it might be enough to make me quit! at least take two seconds to google marching band terms pls

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

daydreaming about a puffy bolero kind of garment which might look silly but would be really nice for cold weather biking when my torso gets too warm in a jacket while my arms are still chilly

heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.

My favorite Election Day texts are the ones I get from my brother when he’s filling his ballot out in the booth 😂

If you haven’t cast your ballot yet, rank Michael Wilson, Tom Olson 1 & 2. And for 3, pick between Adam Schneider and Amber Fredrick! Let’s elect a progressive park board!

walking to coffee in the north loop and some lady, who i have never seen before, just stopped me to say i better stay away from her kid and that if she ever saw me talk to them she’d smash my face in, then as i walked away she said “that’s your last warning you little fucking bitch”

i can’t wait for the day that clothing brands finally begin using models who are average height for their websites. i get being tall for the runway but when i, at 5’4, try to buy clothes online it doesn’t help to know how they look on women a full 6” or more taller than me!
