Trump believes that because the corrupt Supreme Court gave him full immunity from illegal acts committed while president that any illegal orders he gives to military personnel somehow become legal. He won’t be prosecuted, but anyone following his illegal orders is pretty much doomed.

I feel really bad for the National Guard soldiers who were attacked.
That being said, trump is such a terrible person, I don’t discount the idea that the suspect is a “Manchurian candidate” programmed by the CIA to be capable of such murderous behavior. Activated to disrupt and distract.
