This is amazing! And a reminder that the work of art is to expand our mind and consider the world in new ways which is also key for our survival.
Alt text for those who need it. This is amazing.

yearcompass is one of the most helpful tools i’ve ever used to reflect on the waning year and prepare for the year ahead. i’ve found i have more intentional and more thoughtful years when i complete it. + you can set it and forget it! highly highlyyyyy recommend! bsky.app/profile/mmin...
it’s yearcompass time already! #2425

if you’re completing one for the first time, i recommend giving yourself a few hours and/or days to work on it. i generally look through the prompts first to refresh my memory and get ready to reflect and write.

My fave ancestor by far, I have read every archaeological report on her and the site of her city. If you go look at it on satellite view you can see the old path of the river they built it near, and the street pattern of the city.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Community isn’t something you show up to consume. It requires you to contribute, collaborate, and commit-create.

If you want community, you have to be community.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Throwback today to last year’s TDOR in Athens. It was special to be part of it, to remember and hope for a brighter future. Solidarity to my trans and nonbinary siblings in queerness. ✊🏳️‍⚧️

May their memories move us to keep fighting for a world where all trans people are free.
This #TransgenderDayOfRememberance, we remember the over 280 trans people killed globally this year and the many more lost to suicide.

They deserved to live safely, without fear, and to be fully who they are.

May their memories move us to keep fighting for a world where all trans people are free.

I just want trans people the world over to be able to live in peace, and I don't think that should be an unreasonable ask or expectation.
