Sorry. Too early, I know. But yesterday I had to kill time at the art event ( nobody was there, the weather was just too gorgeous). So I came up with this
#illustration #art #landscape #christmas
A snowy landscape a village some people, trees, hills and mountains in the distance and snowfalling.

The first rule of Cassandras Club is you tell everyone about Cassandras Club and they don't believe you.

Weird thing where people say “no one could have predicted it” when really what they mean is their political commitments and orientation were such that they ignored everyone who was predicting it

Sorry but “no one could have“ and you having your head stuck up your ass are two different situations

There are other countries on the planet besides your own.

When you take the time to look around at them, & consider the possibility THEY might have brilliant people with extraordinary ideas to share with the world...

LOOK WHAT HAPPENS!

No cancer or dead whales or birds.

Just cool park benches.
Belgium turns old wind turbine blades into park benches & playground equipment. These massive fiberglass structures were headed to landfills but now they have a second life as stylish public furniture. The photo depicts a vibrant expanse of green park grass and people sitting on wind turbine blades converted to sleek, curvy benches. It really does look space-agey and sophisticated as all get-out. And what a COOL way ti repurpose something so massive, that would otherwise just sit in a landfill. I am so impressed. It reminds me of that country that was making asphalt out of chopped up old tires and other plastics too difficult to recycle. Whatever happened with that? I thought for sure that would catch on. It was brilliant. I always assumed it turned out to be prohibitively expensive (gods forbid we pay extra money to save the fucking planet) or even worse for the environment, somehow... I'm going to look that up. Every time I think about it it bothers me I don't know what happened with that. Anyway - these turbine blades look super cool. I bet one day the US will have innovation again. If we don't kills ourselves off, or cut ourselves off from the rest of the world, Gilead-style. FUCK. I am so depressed.
