Just listened to Slots post match and was concerned by the focus on missed chances in attack this season. Yes that’s a factor but we’ve been so open it’s unreal. Conceding goals every game is the biggest problem, and allowing teams to play is the main problem.

We have to start playing our most in form players from the start. Playing club legends in the hope they’ll reach their best is going to cost us. And fuck knows how we can’t learn to be difficult to score against. Every team we play know they’re scoring 2 goals it seems.🙄🙄

Very poor. Just wish we could play with more urgency and tempo, and press better. Also why aren’t we playing players on current form and merit, instead using the same players expecting a different result?

Rubbish again. I’m hoping this system and team/ new players will work out long term and just needs time to adjust. Was really exciting summer window, but hopefully we haven’t ruined the defensive balance and energy levels.

Chiesa starting to show why he was so hyped up a few seasons ago. Hopefully it only gets better for him.

My word Ekitike must have completely forgotten the first yellow, or just instinctively reacted. Strange to see a player get two yellows without committing a foul. At least we won!😅 #LFCFamily

If there’s one criticism I have of Slot, it’s that he never takes Mo off. Yes he scored the pen but he hasn’t been great this season yet, and today either.

I so hope Burnley get relegated! Horrible footballing team and pathetic supporters booing a player who could have been horrendously injured by that shit tackle!😠

Glad we beat them and their anti football tactics.🖕🖕 #LFCFamily

Ecstatic about the result, but if we play like that against Arsenal we’ll get destroyed. Konate was not good and should have been taken off, and we got dominated too often. Newcastle can feel unlucky. Losing 2-0 leads two games in a row isn’t good.

In pre season and today our defending hasn’t been sharp, midfield lost a few balls to easily. Hopefully we can improve that a little and close out games better. #lfc

He lived a champion and died a champion. Diogo Jota you’ll never be forgotten, and you’ll forever be part of our #LFCfamily 🥺😢

To his parents, wife and children, it’s horrendous for us, but what you’re going through must be unimaginable.

RIP Diogo and André #YNWA ❤️💔

That was a big call taking Mo off. He was not playing well and losing the ball, but, he can always win you a game, even when he’s frustrating to watch. What an impact from Elliott though. Overall though Ali was man of the match. Still a difficult second leg to come, but good win away.😀

Good this is it’s not City we’re 7 points ahead of. Both Arsenal and Forest have got more dropped points ahead this season.

F**king hell!! That was shit. We didn’t play well but after the second goal I thought we controlled it. 97th minute!🙄🙄🙄

Was hoping we could win, but will take that. Was expecting a tough game, and at least other big teams tonight drew so no ground really lost. #LFCFamily

Busy January, with games every few days. Hopefully we can rotate a little in the champions league and FA cup third round.

I hope tiredness or the ongoing contract situation are not starting to take their toll. We’ve looked off the last few games, and starting to make some mistakes.

We should have done better, but what the f**k was that ref doing? 🙄🙄

I'm running out of superlatives for Arne Slot.

Where the fuck did this guy come from???

Yes, Jürgen put a fantastic squad together and the academy is superbly well run.

But to follow Jürgen and come in cold to a new club, and do what he's doing is next level insane.

We're very, very lucky.

I’m curious: why does the #BBC keep stating that the video showing Coote disparaging LFC and calling Klopp a “cunt” was not “verified independently by the BBC”, while never also stating that Coote has admitted it was him?

Do they have, shock, an agenda?
