I've said before that a lack of imagination really doomed the Falcons. They couldn't fathom that Cousins would be a shadow of himself, that Penix might get hurt again, that things could go horribly wrong at all.

The Penix injury is heartbreaking. He’s had to overcome so much to get to where’s he’s at in the NFL. It’ll be another long road to recovery for him. Countless conversations will be had about his future. Hope he has all the support he needs.

Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr is believed to have aggravated the same knee injury as earlier in the season, per me and Tom Pelissero.
That bone bruise in the same knee kept him out one game. More tests coming, but there is concern he’ll miss some time.
