In this recent article, authors reviewed the evidence for relationships between cognitive impairments and motor learning after #stroke. Most studies they examined reported cognitive impairments that impacted motor improvement and learning capacity post-stroke.

It’s certainly the most comprehensive meta-analysis I’ve ever been involved with 🤓

TLDR: non-motor symptoms after stroke are common across domains and guess what? Not a great deal has changed in the last decade. A real wake up call to the field to address this huge unmet need

Active debate on the efficacy and safety of IA lytics after successful thrombectomy. 5 studies with various designs and results. Still a lot of questions exist around the impact of the type of lytics, dose, after how many passes, combo with systemic lytics… @ahascience.bsky.social ‬⁩ #ISC25 #stroke

Ever heard of Anton's syndrome? It's a rare but strange condition. 👨‍🎓

After an injury to the back of the brain, a person can become blind but they are totally unaware that they can't see. Their brain does not realise that they can no longer see. 🧑‍🦯

One of the principles of ethical research is Justice.

Researchers shouldn’t just conduct research with easily accessible samples. We need to make sure our work will apply generally.

We have an obligation to make the benefits widely available.
