Were financial lobbyists the real winners of the #AutumnBudget? Why didn't the chancellor touch the banks' record profits?

Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

Ahead of tomorrow's Budget, the Green Party's message couldn't be clearer: cut bills, tax billionaires.

We live in a massively unequal society - it's time to change that. Tax wealth fairly, reduce the strain on ordinary families, and invest in public services.

Ahead of the UK budget we demand the UK Gov take action to tax the obscene wealth of the super rich and polluting corporations - and make them pay!

We stood today at Parliament Square as campaign groups and trade unions united in our demands ✊🏽

This is a more nuanced interview than the headline suggests. Aditya Chakrabortty says he thinks Greens are actually in a strong-enough position to go further on inequality.

But his argument that landlordism is an abstract issue that doesn't affect most people's daily lives is just bizarre.
