Remember corporate democrats did this because of their rich donors. The rich want us to spend money during the festivities. We need to do the opposite. Buy from small businesses, resellers, thrift stores, swap gifts, or make it yourself, but don't buy from big corporations.

This is by far one of the stupidest things you can do in a dev cycle
So they're going to do this for one, maybe two games. It'll be full speed ahead until it's 6 months from release and the game is falling apart, at which point they'll pay an insane overtime rate for a QA studio to do it last minute which won't be enough.
