It's been a couple of weeks since the songbird migration wrapped up, and I'm already missing the little homies. Pictured here is a very cooperative and handsome Magnolia Warbler. #WiscoBirder 📷👐🏾🖤🪶

Puffins are social, so to attract them to Maine's rocky islands, National Audubon's Seabird Restoration Program put out decoys to attract real birds.

This puffin is trying to fit in with his new friend by standing on one leg.

Seabird peer-pressure can be intense.

A funny one from this morning's misty sunrise on Glastonbury Tor. At first glance it looks like someone diving over the sun into the mist below. It is actually a bird heading straight for me and yes I did duck although I am sure it would have missed me. 😂

This little punk popped out of the forest to say hola! Collared Redstarts are energetic warblers that fan their high contrast tail to flush insects from vegetation and leaf litter. They are native to Central America in the mountains above 1,500 meters / 5,000 feet.

Lighting was quite poor when I took this photo but it was still exciting to see two eggs in this Sandhill Crane's nest.

Good night, Bluesky friends. What a day of news. People are getting hurt, and they are getting angry and understandably so. Not sure what tomorrow will bring but it is going to be busy. Stay safe from the storms if they are coming your way! Lots of reported tornadoes. 💙☮️🦋💙

Your moment of critically endangered beauty ❤️

With just 16 known to remain in the wild, Ginger could be the first (+ last) Red Wolf you see.

Newborn donkeys, also called foals, can start running just 30 minutes after birth, and they're surprisingly fast! So if you ever see a baby donkey, just know it could probably outrun you before it even finishes its first nap. 🫏
