For those following global surface temperature anomalies, October 2025 is going to finish 1.50C above the pre-industrial baseline and 3rd hottest on record since 1940.

Which also means that October, 2025, is likely the 3rd hottest October in the last 120,000 years.

COCOS ISLANDS AGAIN

30.1C yesterday in this tiny Australian terrirory in the Indian Ocean ties is highest temperature ever recorded in October.

Cocos Islands, like all tropical islands in he world, has been breaking heat records continously since early 2023,nearly every month.

RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES IN ANTARCTICA

Both the Artic and the Antarctic have been with exceptional high temperatures.

In Antarcica Vostok broke its record of October highest temperature twice with a final -30.8C, while Concordia made it o -28.9C, also a new record.
