Wouldn’t anyone do the same? You go to a country/state/city to invest and hire people, but, then, the government arrests your workers for a show. This whole administration is about theater, no substance.
The Government Accountability Office already exists. Inspectors general already exist. He seems to be just a generic corporate Democrat who can’t criticize or alienate Israel or rich donors. His answers about the Gaza situation in an recent interview shows how bad his political instincts are.
Mamdani gets over 50% and does surprisingly well even with older voters. Cuomo announces his move to Florida. Trump threatens cutting more funds to NYC and sending National Guards.
It is effectively surrendering their lopsided power in the Senate. Trump will probably not push it much because of pushback from Rs. But, who knows? They are letting him destroy their constituents. 🤷🏻♂️
One of the biggest failures was there was no messaging or public communication. Hate him or not… Trump is really good at setting a narrative and constantly drilling messages into people’s brains. Biden did nothing. He let Trump and Rs set a narrative and push the public to the right on immigration.
Another insane interview is about to drop. At this point, we can make bingo cards of insane things he will say in an interview. What a time to be alive.
There is no “this version of the Republican Party”. It’s been always this party. They always hated the poor and programs like this. It is time to attack them as a whole. It is not just Trump. It is the whole party.
It will be hilarious if they follow his order and, then, lose the Senate next year (highly unlikely but still possible if competent Democratic candidates emerge). This year has been horrible. Next year will be even worse. So, I think we deserve this distant but possible future.
Because Republicans have a Senate advantage in smaller states, nuking the filibuster will benefit Democrats more in the long run. Nuking it will guarantee empowering a future Democratic Senate even if it is 51-49. Republicans know it. That is why they are not doing it.
For someone educated at Stanford and Yale, he is smart enough to know how things work but evil enough to just pretend to care about these issues without actually even trying.
Is it the same Murkowski who was pivotal to the passage of the ”Big Beautiful Bill” that gutted the ACA subsidies and cut Medicaid In exchange for some “deals” for her state? Hmm.. In essence, she gave the Dems the leverage they needed.
At this point, I think the likes of Stephen Miller might be feeding him false info to manipulate him to do their bidding. He might actually believe things like “Portland is on fire”.
Keep blaming others except her. She was just a generic Democratic candidate, which was obviously not enough. “Nothing could have been done better” That attitude is exactly what failed. If you think I am one of MAGA guys, it is not my problem. It is your delusion. Have a good day.
She was not a good candidate at all. Sure. She was 1000 times better than Trump, but that was not enough. Her inability to distance herself from Biden on many issues was bad. She literally ran a centrist Dem campaign with the help of consultants. Her instincts were bad.
