As a security person, I SO appreciate great bits like this open letter around bad security advice ( www.hacklore.org/letter), especially given that it's got reputable people like @leak.bsky.social signed on.

In this age, I'm thankful for reporters like @davidfrum.bsky.social who are shedding light on how super meaningful programs like PEPFAR are being shuttered in favour of bailing out scam artists. But to my American friends, please contact your Congressman/woman to re-authorize this program on Mar 25.
Advocates of a crypto reserve want to redirect into their own pockets almost $20 billion a year of taxpayer money, or more than triple the annual amount spent on the now-suspended program that delivers life-saving anti-HIV medication to 20 million people.

1. Create a new $15B science fund
2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada
3. Immediate permanent residency

I remember doing a bunch of research on this some years back as I was curious how knowledge workers compared to factory workers. B/c I think that Ford and business plus union leaders in the early 1900s established ~40 hours as a major inflection point for diminishing productivity.
I want employees who aren't going to burn out and make things worse than they were to start with.
