It’s “more cowbell” but replace “cowbell” with “gold”

(I smell an SNL skit! Somebody get Walken on the phone)
He wants to starve you and your family, deny you healthcare, and intimidate your kids with jackbooted thugs while he builds a ballroom for himself and his pals, runs multibillion-dollar crypto scams, throws grotesque Great Gatsby-themed balls in Florida, and redecorates a House you pay for like this

The scary thing about this kind of tipping point (which, you know, is a common reality of tipping points) is that once you’re beyond it the crash is baked in. You can’t wait to see the effects before you work to cushion the blow—because when you’re seeing the effects it’s already too late.

Many products sold in the U.S. are made in El Salvador. In response to the El Salvador president’s statements today, we’re calling for an immediate boycott of all Salvadoran-made goods. Please help by listing any products or brands made in El Salvador in the comments below.

Good news! Although we are not able to offer the full Next Gen high school internship program this summer, we are planning a series of four in-person "boot camps", in which students will get a close-up look at what we do. More to come. #GeneSky

THIS.
The thing that’s fucking horrendous about all this is that it isn’t like there’s a global recession driver like the pandemic this time, it’s just Trump and the GOP being assholes, and the rest of the world can pretty easily (comparatively speaking) decide to not trade with us anymore.
Trump just threatened to impose an additional 50 percent tariff on all imports from China.

This comes as the economy crashes nationwide because of his tariffs.

I feel seen. 90% of my job is: securing resources (grants mostly, also personnel) or administrative stuff, to keep the awesome 10% humming.
Yup. This is every "dream job": 10% doing the thing, 90% doing everything else required to get to do that 10%.
I've got a photographer friend, and so many folks think it must be lovely to just show up, take a few pictures and get paid, without considering the thousands of hours that go into self promotion, handling finances, networking, and all the many things that aren't taking pictures.

My dear friend’s niece, who in October developed sepsis when a Georgia hospital refused her a D&C after a miscarriage, will be taken off life support tomorrow.

I don’t know the names of the countless others who have suffered and will suffered because of anti-abortion laws.

But her name was Haley.

Soon it’ll be faster to list what isn’t collapsing.
Wow. Ruth Marcus is to the Washington Post as Larry Tabak is to the NIH — a longtime inside leader who was essential for institution operations for many years.

WaPo is collapsing at the same time as NIH is collapsing.
