Virginia, the Republicans did nothing to fight for the continuation of food aid despite our very strong military population. They chose to follow Trump’s weaponization of hungry children even among those families that sacrifice to keep us safe.

Republicans want you to believe that housing and food benefit recipients are lazy, “crack addicted,” people.

But a large percentage of benefits go to help enlisted military families, veterans, and farming communities.

These are the people Republicans want you to believe are unworthy of help.

Popok: The blue states and cities effectively brought the cases. The red states are suffering, and their AGs are sitting on the sidelines. There’s no red state that brought a case. Think about that: not one red state attorney general brought a case to help prevent starvation and suffering. None.
