⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another great book from TJR. This story is such a timely commentary on how limitations on women and on other marginalized groups is debilitating to all people in a society. #atmosphere #booksky #taylorjenkinsreid

What did I just read! I’m not sure what happened or if any of it was true. This book was an existential experience. The narrator is unreliable, the storyline keeps unraveling and the reader does not get any closer to the truth. #booksky #bookerlonglist #auditionnovel #katiekitamura

Rooney examines the relationship between two brothers after the loss of their father. She examines their misunderstandings of who the other is & what they truly mean while including mirroring relationships with partners shows how we judge others but how we judge ourselves. #booksky #sallyrooney

Jimmy Carter has always been a hero of mine. I remember watching his inauguration on the TV in the library at my elementary school. As an adult, I met him several times at different events.

A5 while many teachers are using less DI, the increase in projects and group work has increased student engagement and participation. Students are learning from each other. #aplitchat
Q5. This article provided negative generalizations that overlooked the work that great teachers are doing each day. Change the narrative and provide something specific that gives you hope.

A4. DI has been replaced with more discussions to engage students and increase analytical thinking. DI has also been replaced with an increase in writing. These discussions and writing practice are building the skills students will need in college or in the workplace.
Q4. Offer a counterargument to this statement:

"So it (direct instruction) has been replaced by corn-syrup instruction: more projects, less homework, less memorization. "

The idea that there is a “hollowness” to today’s teaching is insulting and negates the hard work that educators do every day to ensure their students are becoming critical readers and thinkers. #aplitchat
Q2. What is your biggest criticism with this article?

There’s a lot of truth that students pressure teachers to lower expectations but also so much exaggeration about vegetative education. #aplitchat
