I like to play retro games around the holidays. It's already a nostalgic time of year, and old video games fit the mood. This year I chose Phantasmagoria. I had heard of it but not played it before. It's super cheesy and I've seen better acting in high school plays, but overall I enjoyed it.

I'm doing a lot of technical analysis these days and nothing raises red flags higher than the overuse of buzzwords to explain commodity technologies.
Boring technologies that just work are exciting. It means your customers can buy your product and move on to something else. Focus on that.

I’ve spent some time on a TypeScript-first codebase this week¹.
I’ve now spent more time fighting against TS than writing out logic. I.e. I would have been 2x as productive without it.
Out of all these warnings, how many actually helped me fix real bugs? 0.
¹ I prefer JSDoc w/ TS imports myself.
