This was the logical next step, if you’ve been paying attention.
Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

This is completely disgusting. UPenn was afraid of losing funding, and they've decided humiliating Lia Thomas is a worthy price to pay to save themselves.

Lia Thomas did nothing wrong. She followed the rules and competed fairly and honorably. UPenn's leadership are cowards.

JUST IN: UPenn will strip a trans swimmer, Lia Thomas, of her records and ban trans athletes in women’s sports, caving to Trump admin demands.

Concentration camps with no privacy, guarded by the military, in terrible climate, on indigenous lands. This happened to Japanese Americans. And of course indigenous peoples were “removed” to reservations, that is to say, camps. This is who we always have been as a country.

as much as I like my congressman, and as much as the Democratic Party chases polling, it’s confounding why the very unpopular immigration enforcement regime and the fact we’re building concentration camps is not at the top of this list
Senate Republicans just passed the Big Ugly Bill, which contains

- Massive tax cuts for billionaires
- Tax hikes for working Americans
- 17 million lose health care
- The biggest cuts to Medicaid and SNAP ever
- Higher energy costs
- Trillions in debt

It comes to the House now. We will fight this.

Shame on Planned Parenthood of Arizona for dropping their trans patients because of threats from Trump.

What happens when they make you stop providing abortions? Birth control? PReP? Gonna roll over then too?

These orgs complying are cowardly.

Here is a bit more about the author of the law that Rubio is saying that he is using to combat antisemitism. It removes the need for the Sec of State to provide any sort of justification for deporting people he sees at odds with the foreign interests of the US.

Hey, just a quiet reminder: it’s not true that people get more conservative as they age. *Populations* get more conservative as they age because poor and marginalized people die sooner.

Seniors Are More Conservative Because the Poor Die Off
Sometimes older voters aren’t just naturally more conservative. It’s just that wealthier and whiter people tend to live longer and healthier lives.

Marco Rubio just announced 10 more people were sent to be imprisoned in CECOT. They were flown there from Gitmo to be imprisoned potentially for life based not on any crime for which they were convicted, but on unproven allegations of gang membership with no due process.

This is not lawful.

The right for autistic people with intellectual disabilities (and other disabled people) to live outside of institutions was only granted by the US Supreme Court in 1999.

I reported on economics full-time in 2020. It taught me there are no incentives to have a baby in the US. Women in the US have to pay for pre-natal, medical and child care, earn less, do most of the parenting and chores, get promoted less, and are now at 27% higher risk of maternal mortality.
