I should add: There is a grassroots effort underway in Colorado, but it hasn't received much if any support from establishment Dem polls, whose help could really boost the effort. (Qualifying an initiative for the ballot is very difficult and expensive.) Get on board.

Happy Thanksgiving. I loved this book. In it, I learned that the pilgrims who celebrated Thanksgiving were saved from starvation by learning to catch and eat eel. But let’s not eat eel, for they are now very endangered. #Thanksgiving #booksky

National Guard troops don't sign up to be used as political pawns. They sign up to serve their country, not needlessly deploy to American cities to pick up garbage. These two soldiers should be alive right now and at home with their families for Thanksgiving. I'm furious.

If the state of Delaware prohibited companies incorporated there from spending on elections in any way, Citizens United would be dead in the water.

Delaware incorporates more companies than any other state.

It’s a blue state. Let’s get cracking on moving Delaware lawmakers on this!

i wonder how much of Americans' views on driving vs. transit would change if they had to pay for gas/insurance/etc every time they turned on the engine

"i'm not paying $5 to take the train to work twice a day when i can just drive" is a genuine opinion held by so many people

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Heat pumps are the most efficiency heating technology ever invented.

That's because they harvest, compress and transport pre-existing heat from the air, the ground or the water.

Compared to a gas boiler heat pumps deliver ~4x more heat for each unit of energy inout.

First electric cars and buses, now trucks: in the past we were often told that electric trucks would not be feasible.

But the market is picking up speed and electric trucks have become a reality. Expectations are for significant market expansion in the coming years.

How unsurprising and heartbreaking. 😞
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."

There's nothing inherently wrong with climate change. It's just that the ecosystems and built environments that we depend on as life support systems aren't equipped to handle the rapid changes. So if we want to live, we should deal with climate change ASAP.
