As we transition from spring to summer, my career is also entering a different season. For the first time since pre-K, I’m leaving academia! Packing up my office today was bittersweet. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to lead a lab and look forward to new adventures ahead! #academicsky
Much love to the dialysis nurses at the Jesse Brown VA. 🫶
What a cutie! Hounds are awesome (beagle mom here).

Happy #worldkidneyday! Ellie and Clyde are doing their part to #sockittokidneydisease on behalf of the hundreds of millions of people living with kidney disease worldwide.

Clyde is being the goodest boy helping me edit a VA grant proposal as I wait to find out whether I am even allowed to submit it. Wild times in academia. #academicsky #sciencesky #dogsofbluesky
From American Heart’s IG. Kendrick Lamar is calling out revolutions and saving lives. 🎶Wop wop wop wop wop🎵
Oh they were spicy hot, paired with some heavenly caramelized onion dip! I could only have one because my spice tolerance is a little lower, but my lab demolished them!
Despite today’s uncertainties, it’s good to take time to celebrate small victories and to appreciate the people who show up to fight the good fight for #science and #kidney health. Annual Lin Lab holiday dinner at Michelin-starred Esme (complete with “elevated” flaming hot Cheetos #iykyk)
Congratulations! So well deserved!

When I got recruited people told me, “Don’t worry, last time anyone didn’t get tenure was back in the big NIH cuts and they just couldn’t get funding, even tho they did great science.” Cold comfort…and warning that R1s don’t care about your science, teaching, or mentoring - just money. #academicsky
starting a faculty position that relies in part on the NIH to fund us to do work at all just as the NIH is presumably being dismantled is really awesome thanks for asking

This is Gracie. She went for the most magical car ride last night. The whole world twinkled like it was excited to see her. 13/10

Making Friday inpatient rounds at the Jesse Brown VA a little sweeter with treats from a local West Town bakery. #nomnom #nephsky #medsky
