Things I value in #buildinpublic social media:

1. Openness - sharing both the wins and the struggles along the way

2. Authenticity - being honest and writing for yourself; marketing can align with that, but too much of it kills the vibe

Sunday evening, and I just fixed a bug for my customer. Few things in business feel this satisfying 👌

One of the biggests problems with AI agents is that errors accumulate quickly, and after many steps the chance of finding a successful solution decreases rapidly.

I’m sharing the MVP link with users testing my product. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster — the more complete the “minimal” product gets, the more broken features I find, including core features. Looks like there’s still a learning curve with the tech. 👇

A few days ago, I got back from a business trip for my corporate job. It was my first trip in years, so it’s been interesting to compare it with where I am in my career now. Did I actually enjoy it?

Lowering expectations is a great approach for many marketing activities. Take a recruitment call, for example: #buildinpublic #marketing

It’s been a few weeks since my last post. Why? I’ve been busy working on mvp, and honestly, social media isn’t high on my list of priorities.

After months of building, I can finally check off creating my first full-stack app. Every bit of progress is worth appreciating. The validation starts now!

I opened this article last week that discusses imposter syndrome. Wait... imposter syndrome? That's not relevant to me. I haven't even finished it.

It’s Friday afternoon and I’m looking forward to shutting the laptop and heading into a weekend of family time, peace, nature, and recharging. 🌿

I love my job, but I’m really passionate about having free weekends.

We’ve been authenticating users in our apps using the HTTP “Authorization” header. But that’s actually a leftover from the past. The header’s name should really be “Authentication.”

Now it clicks why I kept confusing authentication with authorization.

It's hard to build a real friendship when people are interested in getting along well. This kind of interest often shows up in business relations, among coworkers, or when one person has a certain status. A deeper friendship tends to form when people stop caring so much about just getting along.

I just deployed my first full-stack web app after about 2.5 months of local development, and here’s what I’d do differently next time:

Deploy as early as possible in the dev cycle. Doing that helps avoid local vs. production compatibility issues and leads to better architectural decisions.

I found a developer on Fiverr to help with the frontend of my projects. Communication was fine, and I got a good vibe during our call. The first gig was done through the platform, and overall, he did a good job. Then we agreed to do a second gig outside the platform—because why not?

Reaching out to business leads and personal friends/acquaintances follows similar principles. For example, both involve conversion rates. I've found that approaching personal outreach with the mindset that it might not work out helps avoid negative emotions at the end.

One thing that’s constantly on my mind is how to find the right balance of discomfort in life. I don’t think people can really grow if everything is always comfortable. But too much discomfort can take the joy out of living. So where’s the sweet spot?

✍️ Prompt engineering hack #4: Generate many outputs,
then let the model pick the best one.

When LLMs make a mistake while answering, they can’t really fix it mid-response like people do.

The main advantage I see in holding stablecoins is that they offer more attractive staking yields than BTC. For people looking to store value on the blockchain without BTC, staking popular stablecoins seems like a lower-risk way to hedge against inflation.

Most commercial software has to be maintained and updated just to keep up with rapid tech growth.

Capital expenditure in digital products is a very real cost.

Don’t believe anyone who leaves that out of their budget plans.

Got a product with a trial and need a fresh way to get user reviews?

Offer to extend the trial if the user leaves a review, just like Zoho does.

Last week I was on vacation and totally unplugged from work. I disconnected so much that I forgot to set goals for the next quarter. The upside is I can switch off. The downside is now everything’s hitting me all at once.

Watching how I make my buying decisions is actually a solid way to understand what drives user conversions.

And converting into a help desk with outdated UI and buggy workflows just isn’t worth it. For some products, the UI does matter.

✍️ Prompt engineering hack #3: Ask for justification

LLMs can sound super confident even when they're wrong. Without sources, it’s hard to tell what’s right or wrong.

Q: What's been the most effective way to market my product?

A: Regularly dropping new versions on the WordPress repository. New uploads get boosted by the algorithm, so downloads and users spike.

I used to regularly reach out to customers, leads, and other stakeholders. But now building the MVP takes up so much of my time and energy, I’ve had to hit pause on most of that.

✍️ Prompt engineering hack #2: Split complex tasks into subtasks

Sometimes, a task can be too complex for just one prompt. In such situations, it's wise to break it down into several subtasks.
