I have the impression that github copilot has become practically useless for R. It can't event create simple error free plots anymore... It was never great but where does this reduction of capabilities come from?

The way tariffs cause America to make more things is by making things cost so much money that Americans cannot afford to buy services any more, and the people who currently work providing those services lose their jobs and switch into making things insteads
there’s a lot of hopium going around that somehow tariffs will lead to building more things in america.

i deeply, profoundly ask any and all reporters who quote a single politician making this claim to interrogate how making stuff more expensive will mean building more things.

Dies wäre der richtige Zeitpunkt, das EU-weit zu tun, beispielsweise als Steuer auf die Werbeeinnahmen von Plattformunternehmen. Das würde den Börsenwert der Tech-Unternehmen und damit den S&P 500 Index spürbar reduzieren.

Im Gegenteil, nur eine geeinte und starke Reaktion der EU kann Schlimmeres verhindern.

Eine besonders effektive Maßnahme wäre, die Dienstleistungen der Big-Tech Unternehmen zu besteuern. Dass die EU mehr Dienstleistungen aus den USA beziehen als umgekehrt, davon ist in Trumps Reden bisher nichts zu hören. Einzelne EU-Länder erheben jetzt schon eine Digital Service Tax.
