There's something morbidly fascinating about the subversion of class strife (into|via) identity politics– watching people in the same socioeconomic bracket interpret each other's economic frustration as entitlement worthy of antagonism and proceeding to describe their own with a different twang.
Honestly, I'm genuinely infinitely grateful for o3 w Search and the broader availability of reasoning models.

This week it has twice identified obscure medication interaction issues resulting in timely drastic quality of life and peace of mind improvements I would not have had otherwise.

My favorite device Adm. Hopper used in talks was to cut 12" lengths of wire off a coil of wore and would say,"Each of those is a nanosecond" (the distance light travels in one nanosecond).

She'd then explain that the distance light travels in a microsecond would be a 1000 foot length of wire.

It's genuinely fascinating, disconcerting, and perplexing to hear every $big_co domain expert I know describing the inner workings of development efforts as 'hopeless shitshows'.

AI may be hitting the gas on a lot of things, and a lot of those seemed to be aimed right at walls or off of bridges.
