These #Amazon Prime changes are wild. You think I'm gonna pay a higher price *and* shipping? You're forgetting your value proposition. I'll happily purchase direct and save myself the $10.

I made a review on the @github.com Android app, and their reply is a link to their internal console view of the reply. I can't tell if this is Google's fault or @github.com's fault, but I'm dying right now.

Made a new list. In the process, it becomes clear that most of the content is coming from only a few accounts. Trump shills are trying to re-create their spam network on #bluesky

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, did the micromanaging manager cause the delayed timeline?

Some coworkers choose chaos and supplement it with endless docs no one will read or care about, but management will get a real hardon for.
This is how enterprises grind to a slow halt.

Hot take: You know why Github won the opensource community over and got so much market share?
THEY MADE THE CODE THE FIRST THING YOU SEE.
It's that simple. I'm tired of sourceforce, codeberg, gitlab, and all the rest that show me some landing page of garbage.

It's usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance

I can't wait for genz to have kids and for those kids to start making fun of the phrase "goated". I hope the cringe is deep.

I'm very disappointed that Bazzite #linux chose to go with Homebrew. It's a terrible project that breaks all sorts of standards. Yes, it served it's purposed for a while, but it's time to let it die, not give it new life.

All these people trying to defend rent caps aren't doing Dems any favors. We have mountains of research on how this has distorted markets and causes more complex gaming of the real estate market. This isn't a useful way to address gentrification.

Dear python nerds of #pysky, convince me why I should choose poetry over pipenv. pipenv has issues, but it feels less opinionated, and I don't like tools with too many opinions. I also don't care about the author.

I finally got a chance to test #AI uisng Cursor against a real world python problem. The task is to create a method that utilizes recursion to transform YAML to UCL. I already have several unit tests in place to bash against. It's been running for an hour with no end in sight.

I gotta thank paywalls for one thing - making me pause and ask, "Do I really care about this? More than what ever I should be doing right now?"
The answer is almost always no.

I wish I could talk about this with my Christian friends. Unfortunately their ears are mostly stitched shut and they will regurgitate every whataboutism they've been spoon fed over the last 10 years.
Our pastor shared an exchange she found on social media as part of her sermon today. Seeing her earnestly address a lack of compassion in the so-called faithful was moving and importantly timely. With everything happening in this country, we need more faith leaders to talk about this sort of thing.

"Do you have a roadmap?"
Here's my roadmap: Make the thing work and stop spending time on overhead just to appease managers.
