Every facet of generative AI has made my professional life worse, without question, but THIS specific aspect has been driving me NUTS.

Clients, who have made me toil for weeks over indescribably small details, are now approving & producing in-house commercial artwork that looks like a fever dream.
I feel the clients now using GenAI to do stuff and going "good enough" when they used to nitpick at every last detail is due to them finding out all those nit picky changes take time and work they cant be bothered to put in.

Even with government grant support, first-time buyers need a combined salary of between €84,000 and €129,000 to be in with a chance of purchasing an apartment.

I was literally about to post about how warm it is for a stormy December day...
The planet is on track to log its second hottest year on record in 2025, tied with 2023 after a historic high in 2024, Europe's global warming monitor said.

1. I hate to see good people wasting their time and energy. And there’s perhaps no greater waste of time and energy than seeking to change the trajectory of the human population. It’s not just futile, but also a massive distraction from things we CAN change. This thread seeks to explain why. 🧵1/12

We are going to see a lot more of this in the Irish courts if the government’s proposals to drive actual lawyers out of the business go through #speirghorm
A company director being pursued for €765,000 following the collapse of her packaging firm has been using artificial intelligence to “churn out reams” of legal papers, the High Court has heard.
One AI-assisted affidavit cited case law that did not exist.

Reminder that nationality may exist whether or not you’ve applied for or renewed a passport. A passport is merely evidence of nationality, it does not confer it. There are millions of dual citizens in the UK, many of whom will never have held a passport for their other nationality/ies.
Who decides if you're a dual national or not? Say for example you were one but decide to not renew your, to pick an example at random, Nigerian passport because you've decided just to call yourself British. Do you no longer count even though you could renew your passport in the future?
The Conservative party’s policy also includes stripping people of their British citizenship when they are found guilty of a crime ⬇️

American tech billionaires hate the European Union because Brussels is willing to impose regulation or fine their companies. The European far-right hates it because of migration. Moscow hates it because dealing with one European bloc is more difficult than bullying dozens of small countries

The EU discourse is perfect because there's something in it for everyone. First of all, the European Union genuinely does have a lot of problems. But more importantly, a lot of people hate it for largely unrelated and often contradictory reasons. It's a great enemy

Elon logic:

The majority of people who voted to pass the Violence against Women Act were men, so really, it’s men who should be proud they ended violence against women

The majority of people who voted for the Civil Rights Act were white, so while people should get the credit for ending segregation

This is why Elon Musk’s X platform was fined by the EU. Elon refused to follow the regulations that every other platform has to adhere to in the EU. This is not a “free speech” issue.

Pointless speculation to get into, running drugs is not a crime deserving of death, and even if it was, America does not get to be the arbiter of that outside its own borders. It's a belligerent attack by a rogue state. Imagine the international reaction to NK destroying a suspect Japanese vessel.
NGL: I don’t even believe the assertion it was cocaine in that boat. Those images aren’t that clear.

Min Jack Chambers claim: “number of judicial reviews rapidly growing. 2024 saw 43% increase on 2023, & 2025 a further 30% increase in cases in Court”

Factcheck “number of JR decreasing year on year..members of public to take 40% fewer in 2025 & overall JRs will be 15% lower this year”
