May have been a valid administrative warrant to detain the person, but not a search/seizure warrant under the Fourth Amendment, allowing forcible entry into private property for execution. So the plumger could have been apprehended if ICE waited for him to emerge from the home onto public streets.

Yes, consent by someone with the authority to consent to entry is a exception to the requirement that entry is barred without a judicially-signed search/seizure warrant.

probable cause, supported by Oath . . . , and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. So search and seizure cannot happen without a warrant issued by a judge upon oath based on probable cause, and describing the place/person to be searched/seized.

Don't open the door -- speak to them, if necessary, through the closed door. Don't agree to open it a crack, "just so we can hear each other." Try to contact someone who can call an attorney. ICE agents without a judicially-signed arrest warrant do not have the legal authority to force entry.

Why is the delivery service collecting a tariff payment on the goods that were purchased from an overseas exporter? Shouldn't it be the merchant who collects the taxes and fees adn then pays them over to the government that demands such taxes and fees? How can UPS calculate what is owed?
